Jeg overvejer at søge et Graduate Program i London, og er i den forbindelse stødt på et begreb jeg simpelthen ikke forstår. Nu har jeg søgt lidt på diverse sites og er ikke blevet klogere. I jobopslaget står der således:
"Candidates should be top academic performers. You must have AAB in your top three A-levels (excluding general studies) and a minimum predicted or obtained 2.1 university degree classification (or equivalent if you studied outside the UK)."
Nogle der kan forklare en dum mand hvad 2.1 vil sige?
2:1 degree

Lidt nemt google søgning viser at det er en måde at sætte studerende i bås efter deres faglige dygtighed.
First-Class Honours (First or 1st) = Grade A**
Upper Second-Class Honours (2:1) = Grade A*
Lower Second-Class Honours (2:2) = Grade A
Third-Class Honours (Third or 3rd) = Grade B
Ordinary degree (Pass) = Grade C
1st = A (70%+)
2:1 = B (60-70)
2:2 = C (50-60)
3rd = D (45-50)
Pass = E (40-45)

Så viser det, at det er
Credit level
1 - excellent - 70%-100%
2 - very good - 65%-70%
General level
3 - average - 60%-65%
4 - satisfactory - 50%-60%
Foundation level
5 - 70% and over
6 - 50%-70%
All candidates sit the General paper and some sit the Credit or Foundation paper in addition.
Fail grades
7: less than 50%
8: no award (when the candidate does not attend the exam)
EDIT: Too slow, men ja, mellem 60-70%
