Guys, we have a problem and its costing us all a fortune. More and more when I play at the tables I see people constantly berating others, be they fish, regs or just casual folks looking to have a good time. The saddest part of this is that the people who partake in this activity are the people who are most likely to depend on poker as their livelihood, or they at least take the game very seriously. This means the folks that frequent sites like this and two plus two. People just do not realize that the casual gamer does not want to be yelled at for making a mistake and they certainly dont want you to make their losses public. For the love of god stop quoting ROIs at people. When I first got into poker the idea of "not tapping the glass" was in a lot of poker literature and just seemed to make a lot of sense to me. Obviously I have been guilty of getting angry and saying a snide remark in the past, but we all need to make a conscious effort to stop this. Poker is going through a slower period atm, and most of the regs can easily see this in the strength of fields in even the lower buyin tournies. What we need is people to make a conscious effort to make poker fun for the casual player and not let them know that we are out to club them in an alley and take their money if they play stupid. YOU WANT THEM TO PLAY STUPID.
The added benefit to not berating players is taht you will feel better yourself. When you dont allow yourself to get angry enough to berate someone you will be less likely to tilt. Now I know that Im tapping on the glass right now and allowing you all a little insight into how to potentially control tilt... but its worth it to get people to change I think. Id normally just let people go on getting absurdly angry, but this is becoming ridiculous and taking money out of all our pockets. Lets all grow up a little and just stop.
Thanks for your time.
DONT TAP THE TANK !!
Var sikker på overskriften henviste til den griner "When can I tap that"-tråd :)
Men det her lyder da også fornufigt.

Tap that tank!

"When I first got into poker the idea of "not tapping the glass" was in a lot of poker literature and just seemed to make a lot of sense to me."
@op
Enig!

So true.
