Ferie til Malta i starten af august

#1| 0

Hej :)

There is lot of info already in several therads on PN regarding Malta, so scan them trough. Shorthley i can just add, there is a lot to see in Malta, its a country with very colourful past and many influences of other cultures, but one ofc has to be willing to take a trip outside the tourist areas.

Its very hot in august in Malta so doing a lot of things might not be the easiest, its very very hot, especially if not used to the climate. In genral buying grocceries are much cheaper here then in for example sweden and denmark, but also in st jullians more expensive then other places on the island, hence all tourists. Eating out is also lot cheaper then DK.

IF you list some things you want prices on in order to get an idea, i will give you the exact prices.

I can get you an apartment middle of St jullians this time period for around 60 euro per night,(sleeping 6 ppl) if cheaper then that its going to be without AC and very very crap. Problem is there is not so many small apartment with just one bedroom, and if there is they will be just as expensive in this area and time.

Few examples...

1 packet of juice, 1 liters - 1.80 Euro
6 x 2L of water - 2.50 Euro
1 packet KELLOGGS Corn flakes 750G - 4.50 euro
1 packet of FLORA P.ACTIV 500G - 5.21 Euro
1L of milk - 0.80 Euro
1 150 g yogurt Strawberry, 0.30 Euro

Yes an apartment in a smaller city/village would be very much cheaper, but often without AC, and witouth AC i doubt you get any sleep at all, unless your used to this climate. Also its about finding them, but check some of the other therads lot of links there to sites where you can search for apartments i different areas, perhaps if you figure out where in Malta you want to stay, i can assist, but i do need some paramters to go from .. :)

Sliema, St jullians is big tourist areas and will be more expensive, Buggibba is also tourist area but not so expensive and a really nice seaside town, marsacala and marsaslox in the south is nice areas too. Its easy to get around with buses but one have to be prepered it takes long time, but its cheap and they will take you from A to B.

What is your accomodation budget for the stay?

Also be very careful to figure out if the price is with electricity and water or without, as Malta has europas most expensive prices on just these things :(
