Det er ikke kun i Nordeuropa, man kan finde ud af at gøre livet surt for pokerspillere.

In early April, 2010 French Parliament passed a vote to legalize and regulate the online poker industry in France. This new legislation means that on the 1st of June, 2010 the Poker/Online Gaming industry will experience a significant shake up.

The bill means that the French Government will place a 2% tax on online poker and 7.5% on Sports Betting in an effort to ensure players are treated fairly as only licensed operators will be allowed to offer their products in France. This effectively means French players will only be allowed to play against French players.

Men de har heldigvis heller ikke haft meget held med at få deres vilje, når først EU blander sig :)
