July --> A goal is a dream with a deadline
I guess i owe this blog an update on how things are comming along.
I'v been pushing it abit as i wanted to be able to brag about being on NL25.
But here vi go
A goal is a dream with a deadline - Blog #3
And for july that goal was NL25. Im happy to write that i'm now at the point where i'll be starting to take shots at NL25!
But lets start this update from the beginning, again.
I mentioned in my last post that i toke the decision to pause the challenge due to a few major obstacles. Lucky me, those factors ain't at play no more!
And with the milestone celebration on pokerstars i found my motivation for the challenge to be so appealing that i started yet again.
Now i left the challenge while i was still at NL5 and with a shallow Bankroll (58$ ish)
However being gods gift to poker i went fishing.
And though i did not hit any of the milestone hands i did get a piece of the stake share when the big one came about, Yey!!
.. Oh wait.. The averrage price handed out through stake share was about 70ish dollars if i remember correctly.. my take... 94.. cents! FML!
I was at work at the time so when the hand rolled in, i had hardly played a hand, so i guess i have to be grateful i got a little.
I did however get my revenge a short while after. Because pokerstars did not stop at the milestone hands, they had another great way to scop up some value at the cash tables.
The idea was that if you were to win a hand postflop with K♣K♠
you would be awarded with 100 big blinds at that particular level, so oh my gosh, easy money!
Now around that time i was closing in on NL10 and the added value made the asent into that level so much easier! I scooped up a total of 65$ during that promotion, Thank you Pokerstars♠
Now before we get to much into my time at NL10, lets have a graf of my time at NL5.
As you can see, the graf finally began to grow, as a little green graf should.
Now i picked up the challenge on maj 29th and 66.xxx hands later i was on NL10.
The transition from NL5 to 10 was a rather smooth one. I might mention that leading up to the asent i did a fair amount of game studying and im pretty sure that was the key reason for me to settel into the dynamic of the game so well as i did.
I did find however that there where alot more regulars at that limit, more then i saw at NL5 anyway. Pssssst, but they are just as explotible as the ones at NL5. I won't go into details as i'v been told you are not allowed to tap the glass c",)
All kidding aside.
As i found NL10 to be rather fun i really put in some hours and it payed off.
I only had 14 playing days at that limit! Taking into accound that i had a total of 55.5xx hands there i'v really been grinding. One importent note, i did spend all my FFP's and such inorder to boost my bankroll. But hey, its why its there right.
Heres a graf of NL10
And the bb/100 if anyone cares.. Note the EV ajusted. I'v really been running bad at NL10!
Hopefully it just means that i got some rungood in store when i start up on NL25 in the comming weeks.
Thats all for now. This entry was a looong one, hope you enjoyed it anyway.
