Multiple funds @ Pokerstars

#1| 0

Jeg har netop skrevet en mail til support @ PokerStars for at få svar på følgende to spørgsmål:

If two players convert funds in the same two currencies, let's say € to $ and $ to €, at the exact same time, will they have the exact same exchange-rate then??

If I cash in a tournament or sng, will the pricemoney be paid out using the rate existing at the time when the tournament/sng started or when the tournament/sng ends??

Am dont know about Stars but i know several other networks that follow a certain banks currency rate and at a few certain times per 24 hrs. Some network update the currency rates just once a day, but i believe more and more turning into doing it several times a day.

Pls let us know the replies. thx!

OP

> If two players convert funds in the same two currencies, let's say ¤ to $ and $ to ¤, at the exact same time, will they have the exact same exchange-rate then??

> Yes. At any one time, PokerStars holds only a single ratio for currency conversion regardless of which direction the conversion is in. Because there is no fee charged for these conversions, the same rate is used *backwards* as it is *forwards*.

> If I cash in a tournament or sng, will the pricemoney be paid out using the rate existing at the time when the tournament started or when the tournament ends?? Assume here that I have applied the option: 'Credit Funds in My Preferred Currency When Leaving a Game'.

> Every currency conversion transaction which takes place does so using the rate PokerStars has at that particular time. Thus, it is possible to convert funds between currencies when you buy into a tournament at rate X, and then some hours later you cash in the tournament and convert funds again at rate Y. These are considered two separate transactions even though they are related to the same tournament, and thus they will use distinct exchange rates (if the rate had changed during the tournament).

Please keep in mind, PokerStars’ exchange rates are calculated using the current mid-market exchange rate provided by Reuters, plus a margin of 1%. The rates are updated on a regular basis throughout the day.

PokerStars will waive this margin, as long as the funds are used to play the games, not for currency speculation or any other purpose. Effectively, this means that currency conversions performed in the PokerStars client will use the Reuters mid-market rate without any adjustments.

These were the replies. Very thorough I'd say :)
