Blind Raises Lead To Jannick Wrang-ling Some Chips
"All in and a call..." cried the dealer. Those words are not announced often this early in a tournament but when it does happen, there's a flurry of interest in what is happening. What had occurred was that on table 79 the player UTG had blind min-raised and UTG+1, Danish player Jannick Wrang had blind min-reraised while being lucky enough to pick up A♥A♣. With another player in late position picking up Q-Q, the two got heads-up with the pot sizeable enough that both players got their remaining chips in on a 10♣7♦4♠ board. Wrang's aces held on the 3♣ turn and 5♥ river, which gives him a stack of about 60,000. We are not sure how much more blind raising he will be doing from now on though.
"Haha. Just ran Kings into Aces on all rag flop, turn, and river. Lost the minimum, I think. 25k from 30k starting. Nowhere to go but up! :)"
Haha. Jannicks straddling fanger journalisternes opmærksomhed:
"Wrang Proves Us Wrong
Earlier we reported that Jannick Wrang had doubled up having min-reraised blind after the UTG player raised blind. We had wondered if this would continue, but in fact it has! Everytime the big blind is to his right, Tim Pughsley, the UTG player blind raises (currently to 200) and Jannick Wrang makes it 300 blind next to him. They have been doing it since the start of the day and have shown no sign of stopping just yet."
@Thingyman
